My Journey To: A YouTube Show

First, let me say to all those who make YouTube videos regularly, Kudos! I just made my first video, and it took a long time. I barely had the mental drive to work on anything else. But, I am too in love with this idea of mine to give up. Making YouTube videos is not easy but, you all make them for other's enjoyment, and a lot of you don't even get paid.

My idea is to speak more about where I am in my journey as a producer. So this series is a bit of an extension of this Blog. It's called "Producing: From One Student to Another." This will be a 7 part series where I go over new things I'm trying, techniques I'm learning, and just things I find interesting. In my first episode, I try out some plugins I've never used before. This will be on my channel on Wednesday, 9/1. And every new episode will be uploaded on Wednesdays. Even though it was a lot, I'm glad I did it, and I think it's going to be great.

I'm keeping it at 7 episodes for a few reasons, and I'll be honest. I'm not sure I can think of enough Ideas for 40 or 50+ weeks. Also, I have many other ideas for things I would like to put out. And I can't do everything at the same time. I hope this series can help me establish my brand and share who I am, but I don't think I want to be a full-time YouTuber.

I figured I'm not the only producer who still feels like they have so much to learn. But that's ok. It's ok to always be learning. It's better than trying to act like you know it all. No one does. Maybe some of the things I talk about are going to be obvious to some people. But that doesn't matter because that's not everyone. All of this is to say that you're not alone.

To film my video, I used OBS. It's a free program I used last year for the virtual shows I hosted on YouTube Live. And to edit, I'm just using the Windows video editor. Nothing fancy here. I'm glad I get to show you all what I've been working on, and I hope you enjoy it!!
